Theyare birds and flowers; figures; and landscapes of the countryside, mountains andsea. Chinese painting is also closely related to the art of fine handwritingcalled calligraphy. Chinese painters use black ink to produce different tonesand a brush to make many kinds of lines. Even when they added color, the inkdrawing remained the basic of the design. In judging paintings, the Chinesepaid more attention to the brushstrokes than to the subject matter. Chinesepainting, also known as the traditional national painting, one of the traditional fine paintings with a longhistory, has its unique and independent system in the world's fine arts field.Using brushes, ink, and Chinese pigments, a painting is drawn on a special kindof paper (Xuan pa-or silk). The traditional subjects are figures, landscapes, flowers and birds. They are divided into twodifferent styles : one is Gongbi,or meticulous painting, the traditional realisticstyle characterized by fine brushwork and close attention to detail, the otheris Xieyi,or impressionist painting, the freehand brushworkstyle characterized by vivid expression and bold and vigorous outlines. Theforms of painting include wall paintings, screens, scrolls, albums, and fancovers. TheChinese dragon or Oriental dragon is a mythical creature in East Asian culturewith a Chinese origin. It is visualized as a long, snake-like creature withfour legs and five claws on each. Firstly, the dragon was historically the symbol of the Emperor of China. Starting withthe Yuan Dynasty, regular citizens were forbidden to associate themselves withthe symbol. During the Qing Dynasty , the dragon appeared on national flags. Secondly,in European-influenced cultures, the dragon has aggressive that the Chinesegovernment wishes to avoid. It is for these reasons that the giant panda is farmore often used within China as a national emblem than the dragon. In HongKong, however, the dragon is part of the design of Brand Hong Kong, a symbolused to promote Hong Kong as an international brand name ManyChinese people often use the term "Descendants of the Dragon" (龍的傳人) as a sign of identity, as part of a trend started in the1970s when different Asian nationalities were looking for animal symbols forrepresentations. Anumber of Chinese proverbs and idioms also feature references to the dragon, for example: "Hoping one's son will become a dragon" (望子成龍, i.e. be as successful and powerful as a dragon).

During the Han Dynasty, Zhang Qianopened up the world-famous Silk Road. And its initial role was to transportsilk produced in ancient China. From then on, splendid civilizations amongChina, India, Greece, Persia and Rome wereexchanged along this famous trade route. As a bridge between Asia and Europe, the ancient Silk Roadcontributed greatly to the cultural exchange between China and the West. Itmade the whole world colorful. The Silk Road for today is a Chineseframework named One Belt and One Road, which is for organizing multinationaleconomic development through two component plans: the land-based Silk RoadEconomic Belt and oceangoing Maritime Silk Road. With the frequent exchanges of economy, technology and culture amongthe Asian, the European and the African, the new Silk Road will play an increasingly active role inthe benefit of all humanity.
三、閱讀素材(附加) Silk Road The Silk Road wasan ancient network of trade routes, formally established during the Han Dynasty of China, which linked the regions ofthe ancient world in commerce. As the Silk Road was not a singlethorough fare from east to west, the term ‘Silk Routes’ has become increasinglyfavored by historians, though ‘Silk Road’ is the more common and recognizedname. The network was used regularly from 130 BCE, when the Han officially opened trade with the west, to 1453CE, when the Ottoman Empire boycottedtrade with the west and closed the routes. Whilemany different kinds of merchandise traveled along the Silk Road, the namecomes from the popularity of Chinese silk with the west, especially with Rome. The Silk Road routesstretched from China through India,Asia Minor, up throughout Mesopotamia, to Egypt, the African continent, Greece, Rome, and Britain. Thenorthern Mesopotamian region (present-day Iran) became China’s closest partnerin trade, as part of the Parthian Empire, initiating importantcultural exchanges. Paper, which had been invented by the Chinese duringthe Han Dynasty, and gunpowder, also a Chinese invention, had a much greaterimpact on culture than did silk. The rich spices of the east, also, contributedmore than the fashion which grew up from the silk industry. Even so, by thetime of the RomanEmperor Augustus (27BCE – 14 CE), trade between China and the west was firmly established and silkwas the most sought-after commodity in Egypt, Greece, and, especially, in Rome. One Belt OneRoad Initiative The Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-centuryMaritime Silk Road, also known as the One Belt and One Road Initiative, is a development strategyproposed by the Chinese government that focuses on connectivity andcooperation between Eurasian countries, primarily the People's Republic of China, the land-based Silk Road Economic Belt (SREB) and the ocean-going Maritime Silk Road (MSR). Thestrategy underlines China's push to take a larger role in global affairs with aChina-centered trading network. It was unveiled by Xi Jinping inSeptember and October 2013 for SREB and MSR respectively. It was initiallycalled One Belt and One Road, but in mid-2016 the official Englishname was changed to the Belt and Road Initiative. In the past threeyears, the focuses were mainly on infrastructure investment, constructionmaterials, railway and highway, automobile, real estate, power grid, and ironand steel. By various estimates, the BRI is one of the largestinfrastructure and investment mega-projects in history, covering more than 68countries, equivalent to 65% of the world's population and 40% of the globalGDP as of 2017.

It’s an important creation of the working people of Han nationality. Porcelain developed from Pottery. The earliest porcelain appeared in Shang and Zhou dynasty about 3,000 years ago. The true meaning of the Chinese porcelains produced in the Eastern Han Dynasty. In The Middle Ages, accompanied by Chinese Porcelains export, Chinese began to known in the world as “Country of Porcelain”. By the Song Dynasty some seven centuries later, the porcelain industry was flourishing. Ming and Qing Dynasty was the heyday of Chinese Porcelains. The quantity and quality of porcelain production has reached the peak. Jingdezhen as the “Porcelain Capital” status has been established. Welcome to Jingdezhen Museum. Jingdezhen is located in northeastern Jiangxi. Jingdezhen porcelain is the pearl in the treasure house of Chinese art and culture. In its long and glorious history, a brilliant art and craft has been handed down. The feature of Jingdezhen Porcelain was described as being “as white as jade, as thin as paper, as bright as a mirror, with a sound as clear as a bell.” The four traditional porcelains are Blue and white porcelain, Glowing porcelain, Color glaze porcelain, and Famille-rose porcelain. Blue and white porcelain has a white base with blue designs. Blue designs are applied to the white body of the porcelain, making it appear elegant, fresh and full of vigor. Its unique artistic connotation is the perfect combined of traditional and modern arts. Glowing porcelain is also called “Mitong” in China. Craftsmen carve outmany regular “delicate eyes” in the porcelain body, and then fire these holes with the glaze into the bright hole. European called it as “the transparent rice pattern”. Jingdezhen’s colorful glaze is famous for all over the world. It contains a long tradition, and is gradually concluded by our ancestors during the long-time producing and experimenting. Our ancestors had accumulated rich experience in the long time producing and struggling. Famile-rose porcelain also called soft decorative porcelain, which is one of the four traditional porcelain of Jingdezhen. However, many students in campus have neglected theimportance of Chinese in some ways. Many factors can account for this situation. In the first place, foreignlanguage has increasingly become a necessary skill in many work areas. As aresult, in order to hunt a good job, most students have to pay much moreattention to learning foreign language than learning Chinese. Moreover, manyuniversities have marginalized the importance of learning Chinese.Consequently, students have less opportunity to get in touch with the Chineseand Chinese culture. Due to this ignorance for Chinese, the study of Chinese ison the decline. In view of this situation, some effective measures should be taken atonce. For one thing, the government and other related organizations should givepublicity to the importance of learning Chinese so that more and more peopleand the next generation can understand. For another, university should continueto develop the Chinese course and provide various chances for students to studyChinese. Finally, as the future of our motherland, we should make somecontributions to spread our language and culture. All in all, due attention should be given to the study of Chinese. It is easy and interesting to makedumpling, which is a kind of Chinese traditional food considered can bring goodluck by Chinese people. 2)所有的步驟完成后,一個(gè)吸引人的,像金元寶的餃子就出現(xiàn)了。 Withall these steps accomplished, an attractive dumping, similar as a shoe-shaped goldingot , comes into being. Dear Mr. Henry, I’m Li Hua, a Chinese student of yours.
